Catholic School’s Week Calendar
Catholic Schools Week January 23-31
01/20/10 02:05 PM

One of the most important roles of a parish and its families is preparing young people for fulfilling lives of love and service to their families, their communities and the Lord. That is why the 2010 Catholic School’s Week theme is particularly fitting. “Catholic Schools: Dividends for Life” underscores the long-standing tradition of Catholic education to instill in students the faith, knowledge, morals, and discipline that will enable them to fulfill their future roles in life. Now more than ever, a Catholic education is truly an investment in the future that is worth the consideration of every family.
As you can see from the attached schedule of events, Sacred Heart has planned some wonderful events to celebrate the week. Please join us in our celebration with our kick off on Saturday, January 23 with Family Night. We will gather after mass to have dinner, play bingo, and bid on our auction baskets. Encourage your friends and neighbors to participate, particularly those who may be considering Catholic education for their own children. Open House is January 31st! I think they will be impressed by the attitude, behavior, and accomplishments of the students they observe.
As you visit us during Catholic Schools Week, please take a moment to express your appreciation to the teachers, staff, board members, H & S members, and volunteers for all they do. Through your dedication and commitment, they make our school an excellent example of how Catholic schools provide “dividends for life.
Look for a downloadable PDF calendar of events soon!
