MRS. GRESHWALK'S CLASS NEWS

Eighth Grade Activities

The eighth graders are now in the 1950's.  Don't be surprised if you hear anything about "I Love Lucy" or Elvis Presley.  Please don't give in for requests from your child for saddle shoes or poodle skirts!

GRADUATION

The 8th graders are very busy planning their graduation.  They are working in committees choosing music, making invitations, and writing parts of the liturgy.  It is sure to be a beautiful and memorable event.

Biz Town! A Huge Success!

After weeks of hard work, grades 5-8 finally experienced the working world of Biz Town.  CEO's worked with sales executives to make this project a valuable learning experience.  We especially thank the following volunteers who made this all possible:

Coreen Lenzmeier, Sue Morrow, Bruce Lundberg, Jeff Bowback, Mary Schnieder, Patty Bednarzyk, Anna Ghani, Terry Lebahn, Lee Wolf, Paul Willimas, Laurie Blais, Karen Keenan, Shelly, O'Brien, Mary Dughery, and Keli Hippen.

We also thank Jean Nelson, Ms. Bursey, Lee Anderson, and Melissa Stuhl for interviewing our students and helping with job placement.

I apologize to Diane Mash for not mentioning her above.  She was one of our volunteer bank managers at BizTown.  Thank you so much, Mrs. Mash!

The seventh graders are studying laws and events leading up to the Civil War.  They will be creating PowerPoint presentations of the war, with research being done in social studies, and the technology piece being done in computer class.  Please see the attached project description for more information.
