Mrs. Jandl

11/03-11/07  This week we had a visit from Ms. P who taught us a lot about the letter P.  The kids had an exciting week with the election and debate put on by the 8th grade students on Tuesday to learning all about pennies.  We talked a lot about the new month and things that take place in November.  There are quite a few Birthdays this month, as well as the election and Thanksgiving.  We will also be saying good-bye to one of our friends next week as she prepares to move to a new school near her new house.  Meadow's last day will be on Friday, November 14th.  We wish Meadow and her family well as they move to a new house and a new school.  We will miss you Meadow!!  The kids brought turkeys home on Thursday to decorate with you over the weekend.  Have fun with the project as the kids were really excited to have "homework".  Have a great weekend!

Ms. T arrived at our classroom this week and has been teaching us all about cleanliness, germs, and teeth.  We have read Arthur's Tooth and talked about how to keep teeth healthy.  We are working on washing our hands slowly and EVERY time we use the bathroom. It has been a great week to talk about health with so many colds in the classroom.  We made cards for our spirit buddies during religion and talked about how we are all special.  It has been a great week.

September 8-12

We had a really full week.  This was the first week that we went to all the specialists, went to church, and participated in the marathon assembly on Friday.  The kids did a great job learning the routine.  The marathon packet came home in Friday's folder.  Just a reminder to turn in book orders on Monday the 15th.  The 15th (Monday) is also picture day, so your child can be out of uniform.  Have a great weekend!
