We are SO proud to share all of our Risen Christ donations...WOW!

Reminders for this week: At 6:30 on Tuesday night students will receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation.

We will continue our story in Reading called Mr. Tanen's Tie Trouble.  We will focus on making predictions for what will happen next.  Our grammar focus this week is pronouns.

We will cover several concepts in Math this week that include represent and ordering base-ten blocks, identifying place value for three-digit numbers, and adding two-digit numbers with a sum greater than 100.  Second graders will also know math facts for subtracting 3.

We will continue our Social Studies unit on Communities.  Second graders will learn what a community is and different people that work in our community.  Students will understand the difference between a want and a need and that people need money to get their wants/needs.

We are busy preparing for First Reconciliation.  Students are working to identify the 10 Commandments and understand what they mean.  We will understand what we should do when we commit a sin and that God forgives our sins.  Students will hear several Bible stories that include The Prodigal Son, The Good Shepherd, and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

I am looking forward to another busy and fun week in Room 105. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Mrs. Michelle Kohlmeyer
