SEVENTH: Remember to be prepared for class every day by bringing your cuaderno, lapiz, libro, libro de practicas, diccionario y agenda. For Monday, complete page 28 of your practice workbook.
SEMANA DEL TREINTA DE ENERO (1/30/12)
SIXTH: Read and answer the questions on page 86 of your textbook.
FIFTH: Turn in your Marcelino Pan y Vino essay on Wednesday. Remember to answer questions like "where does it take place", "when does it take place", "who is Marcelino", "who named Marcelino", "what is the story", "who is Manuel", "what are some of the names of the monks", "did you like the ending", "would you recommend it to someone else", etc. The essay should be about a page long.
SEMANA DEL VEINTITRES DE ENERO (1/23/12)
EIGHTH: On Wednesday we will be walking to EL TORO. Make sure to turn in your permission slip and to have your essay on Marcelino Pan y Vino.
SIXTH: On Wednesday you will have a quiz on the time zones. I will let you use the textbook, so you can answer questions based on the map on page 84. The quiz will follow the same format of the exercises we have been practicing in class. If you have late homework that you need to turn in, do so as soon as possible to get as much credit as possible!
FOURTH: On Friday you will be quizzed on "las partes del cuerpo". Use the worksheets to study.
SEMANA DEL DIECISEIS DE ENERO (1/16/12)
EIGHTH: We only have two class periods left! We will finish Marcelino Pan y Vino this week and go to El Toro next week! Please remember to turn in textbooks and any dictionaries you might have borrowed.
SIXTH:Write three questions and answers based on the example on page 84 of the textbook under "Que hora es?". Use the time zone map the same way we did in class. You will ask your questions to your classmates outloud.
FIFTH: Keep studying for the review test, which will take place on Friday the 20th. You can leave your textbook at home this week and review a little each day. In the meantime, we will continue watching Marcelino, Pan y Vino. You will turn in an essay about this movie next week after we are finished watching, so continue taking notes!
FOURTH:Use the worksheet we completed in class last Friday and your notebooks to study "las partes del cuerpo". This week we will learn additional terms and you will have a quiz on the following Friday, the 27th.

EIGHTH: Make sure to bring the lirics for the Spanish carol. We will continue working on it in class.
SIXTH: Complete exercise 2 on page 79 of the textbook
FIFTH: No homework for this week, but remember that you will have a summary test when you come back from Christmas break based on the material on page 25 of the textbook. Don't leave your studying for the last minuto!

FIFTH: Read pages 21-23 of textbook to become familiar with the expressions that we will be learning in class.
EIGHTH: Prepare for Monday's review quiz. It will include numbers (1-100), colors, months, foods, days of week and shapes.
SEMANA DEL CINCO DE DICIEMBRE (12/5/11)
FIFTH: Do exercises 1-6 on page 16 of the textbook. Remember that we completed part of 1 in class and that for exercise 2 you only need to answer b, c and d. If you have questions about the assignment come to see me on Monday. This asssignment is due on Wednesday.
SIXTH: On Wednesday you will have a quiz on "how to tell time". Monday we willl do a final review to prepare for it. Refer to pages 76-78 of the textbook.

FOURTH: On Friday you will have a quiz on "la familia". Use your worksheets to study.
SEMANA DEL CATORCE DE NOVIEMBRE (11/14/11)
FIFTH: Prepare for a quiz on the months, days of the week and numbers 1-31. The quiz will be on Wednesday.
SIXTH: Study vocabulary on page 73.
EIGHTH: Finish the assigned pages from the workbook for Monday.
SEMANA DEL SIETE DE NOVIEMBRE (11/7/11)
FOURTH: Finish you "la comida" worksheets for Monday and study for Friday.
FIFTH: Review the days of the week and the months. Refer to pages 16 and 17 of your texbook.
SIXTH: Make your class schedule in Spanish, following the example on page 74 of the textbook and using the notecard I gave you in class. This is due on Wednesday.
EIGHTH: Pratice you dialogs so that you are ready to perform them in front of the class. Try to memorize your lines.

FOURTH: On Friday you will have a quiz about "la comida". Use your worksheets to study.
FIFTH: On Friday you will have a quiz covering pages 13-15 of the textbook. Remember you will have to know how to ask how to say something in Spanish and how to spell something in Spanish (bottom of page 13). Make sure you review the names of the letters of the Spanish alphabet so that you can spell in Spanish (pg.14)
SIXTH: Monday you will be quizzed on the material on page 63 of the textbook which covers what we have been studying up to now.
EIGHTH: Continue to work on the dialogs as you will start performing these in front of the class this week.

FIFTH: Complete exercises 1-7 on page 12 of your textbook.
SIXTH: Complete exercise 3 on page 59 of your textbook.
EIGHTH: On Monday you will have a quiz covering the vocabulary regarding food items from pages 122-127. Use your flashcards to prepare for it.
SEMANA DEL TRES DE OCTUBRE (10/3/11)
FOURTH: On Friday, you will have a quiz on the planets and the days of the week. Use your studyguide to prepare for it.
FIFTH: Review page ten of your textbook and write a conversation between two people including a greeting, asking each others' names, how they are, where they are from and indicating you are pleased to have met them. Again, be creative!
SIXTH: Complete exercise 4 on page 57 of the textbook.
EIGHTH: Complete exercises 4-7 from page 125.
SEMANA DEL VEINTISEIS DE SEPTIEMBRE (9/26/11)
FIFTH:
1-Make a list of ten cognates. Use the libro, cuaderno, and diccionario for guidance but don't use the examples we saw in class as your answer. Be creative and have fun!
2-Complete exercise E from page 6 of the textbook.
SIXTH:
Write two sentences for each example in the blue section on page 55. Let us know what your likes and dislikes are!
EIGHTH:
Que prefieres comer? Do flashcards for the vocabulary on pages 122 and 123 of your textbook.
