I consider myself very lucky to have received my elementary education at SHS. The christian environment was supportive of the values and morals taught within my home. I believe that this support helps to shape a person who is confident in their belief system and their faith. Having been educated through the highly advanced curriculum of SHS, I placed into accelerated course upon my entrance to public school my freshman year. I am so confident and appreciative of my education at SHS that my husband and I have chosen SHS for our daughter, who is 3rd generation in my family to attend.
Quentin, Alumnus (middle school teacher at a local Catholic school)
While attending Sacred Heart, I was privileged enough to have a private education in the Catholic tradition. From kindergarten until eighth grade I was fortunate to have teachers and faculty who created a wonderful academic environment which helped me to learn and created a sense of what it means to have a life filled with faith. Throughout my years at SHS, I was grateful to have teachers around who cared about the success of the students they were teaching and about the people they were going to become. While enriching my life academically, Sacred Heart also offered many opportunities for me to be successful in athletics and other activities. These experiences helped me to become successful academically and socially as I have created lifelong friendships with my fellow SHS classmates. I believe Sacred Heart gave me an incredible elementary and middle school experience and prepared me significantly for higher educational opportunities.

I attended Sacred Heart School for 8 years and graduated in the 60's. My siblings and my children are also SHS grads and we all agree that our academic experience was far superior to our public school friends. I still practice what I learned at Sacred Heart School:
1. Talk to Jesus daily.
2. Respect life.
3. Share with those less fortunate.
Our family now has a 3rd generation at SHS and we could not be prouder!
Michael and Michele, Parents
When we were asked to share some thoughts about our family's experience at Sacred Heart, we had a tough time putting our thoughts in a concise testimonial. We had been at a different school prior to enrolling our children at Sacred Heart. When we were thinking of changing schools we met with Ms. Bursey and toured the school. Our daughter spent a half day with the class she would be in if we decided to switch. When we went to pick her up after her day of shadowing, we saw how happy and comfortable she was in the classroom that we had not seen in her school experience thus far. We immediately knew that Sacred Heart was a special school and a fit for our family.
This is our year year at Sacred Heart. We have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner. We have been impressed with the leadership of the school. Ms. Bursey does an excellent job communicating with parents, collaborating with teachers, and having a handle on who each child is in the school. Her presence sets the tone for the rest of the school and teachers.
We have been extremely impressed with the quality of teachers our children have had teaching them. Their willingness to meet children where they are at in terms of academic level demonstrates to us that they care about truly teaching children and having them thrive. The availability of the teachers to answer questions or provide insight has been wonderful. Our children love school and have a love of learning.
We appreciate school themes-it helps reinforce the development of who our children are as members of a community. The six pillars of character really hone in on the development of life skills that are so important as they continue to evolve. These themes really resonate with our children and are integrated into our life at home.
We have enjoyed getting involved in the activities at the school. I am a member of Home & School, which is a great way to be a part of the success of the school. We believe it is important for our kids to see how much we value getting involved with helping their school through volunteering at events and offering our time in their classrooms.
We just want to say thank you for the opportunity to put our experiences into words. For those families who are thinking about sending their children to Sacred Heart, we endorse our school 100%. Being a parent as well as a professional who has been in many different school settings, I can attest that Sacred Heart truly offers a well-rounded education and is a special school for your kids to attend.

Sacred Heart is small enough where all students know each other by name. Our teachers prepare us for high school by setting high academic standards and teaching us how to study. Our middle school offers many activities such as sports, student council, yearbook, quiz bowl, peer tutoring, spirit buddies, youth group, and a trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Camp for the 8th grade.
Bridget, Catholic high school student
I felt really welcome here as a new 8th grade student. The subjects were harder, but it is a good thing because it is getting me ready for high school. Teachers make the subjects easy to understand and provide extra help if needed.
Megan, 5th grade student
Students are not mean to each other. The teachers are really nice.
